Business decision makers are going social. But how do they spend their time online?

Facebook Means Business:
A three-part series

Maybe you've seen it yourself; you peek over the shoulder of one of your coworkers and see the blue Facebook bar at the top of their screen during a work day. It's become a common sight in the workplace, and Facebook IQ wanted to learn more about how often business decision makers go on Facebook.

We identified Business decision makers and IT decision makers on Facebook using self-reported job titles and ad accounts for small- and medium-sized businesses. Then, we surveyed 1,400 self-reported business decision makers in the US and Canada, asking a variety of questions about their social media use, and their perceptions of different platforms as they relate to business.

We found that business decision makers use Facebook so frequently, and engage so deeply, that the decisions they make are potentially affected by their Facebook use.
