A merry mobile Christmas
The who, when and why of mobile shopping this festive season.
Holiday 2017:
A 3-part series
During last year's festive season, more people than ever before swiped, tapped or pinched their way to gifts for friends, family and, of course, themselves. For the first time on a global scale, Facebook saw more mobile conversions than desktop conversions for the entire festive season.1
Facebook IQ went on a world tour to better understand the people, holidays and behaviours driving mobile shopping today. We started by analysing Facebook and Instagram data from 1 Nov-31 Dec 2016. To complement our internal data, Facebook IQ also commissioned Ipsos to conduct a study of festive season habits and attitudes among 20,824 people ages 18+ across 17 markets. Unless otherwise noted, the findings we present are global and include all people surveyed.
To have not just a merry Christmas, but also a great year ahead, read on to discover the who, when and why of mobile shopping during the festive season.
