5 Ways to Build Brand Love on Valentine's Day and Beyond

Building your business's brand is a vital part of business growth. Think of it as the long-term relationship you establish and nurture with your customers—and just like real relationships, trust and loyalty go a long way. So what better moment to build some brand love than on Valentine's Day? Thomas Finetto (@tftf), Head of Creative Development at Meta for Business, shares his tips for doing exactly that on Facebook and Instagram.

1
Be consistent

Consistency is at the root of your brand's identity. It encompasses everything from messaging to design to how you communicate and everything in between. Anytime your customer engages with your business—anywhere!—it should be a consistent experience.

How to start: Pick a color scheme you like, and incorporate pops of those colors into all your content. Write your captions and reply to comments and DMs in the same voice and tone, so your audience always knows who your brand is and what it represents.

2
Socialize

Being a part of a community will make current and potential customers feel seen. Instead of making them feel like they're being shown advertisement after advertisement, open up authentic conversation by sharing value-driven, relatable content. Interact with your customers as often as you can to foster a deeper connection.

How to start: Ask your existing customers a question in your comments to open up dialogue or use the questions sticker in Instagram Stories.

3
Collaborate

Join forces with customers, creators and other brands you love for a limited time. This will introduce your brand to new audiences by generating new content and products. Find a brand or creator with a similar audience and interests to yours that isn't a direct competitor.

How to start: Send your products to loyal customers and ask them to film a video review you can post in Reels. The reviews will always be positive, and it will spread word of your brand.

4
Diversify content

Change up where and how you post content to help reach new customers and be more creative as a brand. Use different channels and formats like Reels and Stories, and don’t be afraid to host a live event on Facebook or Instagram.

How to start: Capture more content. The next time you need to take product shots, film some behind-the-scenes clips for Instagram Stories, or go live and show customers how you shoot content in the moment.

5
Track progress

Check your insights every week. Track your follower growth, reach and engagement to figure out what’s working and what’s not. This way, you'll have data to support which types of content drive the most growth for your business, and you can focus more time and effort in those areas—making content creation and social media management more efficient and sustainable for your whole team.

How to start: Run a brand lift study through Ads Manager to test the brand awareness of one of your ads. You can use this as a benchmark for all your future campaigns.
